The fun thing that has happened with the rug, is that I've actually used some yarn in it. I was looking for yarn the other day for a knitting project and found some bulky creamy white Lamb's Pride wool. Perfect for the stars and the streaks of light in the sky. It was a little difficult getting used to at first, but now it's not bad at all. For the moon, I found a variegated yarn at a new yarn shop in town. It was a little pricey, but has worked out great for the moon. The yellow works well with the Scary Night blue.
I think I'm going to use some of the same yellow yarn for the diamonds in the border of the rug. That's as far as I've gotten with color planning the rug.
Here is my latest knitting project for my Prayer Shawl Ministry group — a cabled hat and scarf set.

The creative stitches are embroidery stitches but to tell you the truth, as I am not a real sewer, it was nice for me to see the stitches being done.
Yes, Molly has kits for sale. You can go to my side bar and find her blog and from there, you can go to her website/store.
In Newfoundland, there is a high utilization of yarns incorporated with wool strips etc. I like yarn as easier to find etc.
