Making Progress
Even with the hot days of summer in full swing, I've been sneaking some hooking in here and there. My Karla Gerard pattern, "By the Sea" is coming along nicely.
I'm trying to use soft colors, but I'm not sure I can keep that up! I just love the brights!! Anyway, here is where I'm at with the rug.

Fantastic bird sighting
Visited the Parker Wildlife Refuge on Plum Island in Massachusetts this week. It is one of my favorite places in the world! Saw lots of birds, had lobster -- a wonderful visit.
Here is one of the amazing birds we found. It is a Yellow-crowned Night Heron sighted midday resting in the reeds. What a beautiful bird.
Hope your summer is off to a good start!
